Why You should get microblading in winter

Now let me start off by saying ANY time of year is a good time to up your brow game. Microblading is a game changer. Waking up in the morning with eyebrows, getting out of the swimming pool with eyebrows and even finishing a grueling session in the gym with unsmudged perfect eyebrows doesn't get old. Believe me when I say it is a worthwhile investment rain, wind or shine. However, there are a couple of factors within the healing process that make following the aftercare advice in the dull winter months that bit more of a breeze.

Let's take a look at infamous aftercare considerations you really want to follow to get those perfect brows. Microblading is an art form, and whilst your microblading artist can use their highly skilled techniques and use only top quality equipment and pigments (The Aesthetics Room Dorset love to use the Tina Davies I LOVE Ink Brow pigments and crystalum blades). The healed results of your microblading treatment really is a team effort. Post-care is very important to the healed appearance and longevity of your new eyebrows.

Firstly, you want to avoid getting your eyebrows wet for at least 10 days. Yes, that does mean washing your hair becomes a little tricky. (Dry shampoo will become your best friend.)  But not only that, other forms of moisture need to be considered. We are talking about sweat. So whilst you may need willpower to avoid turning up the heat in the bedroom and pumping iron in the gym, avoiding sweating it out lounging around the pool shouldn't be an issue in the depths of winter.

Following microblading you will be advised to avoid excess sun exposure as this speeds up the healing process and gives an overall better result. And why is that? I hear you ask. Well the sun's UV rays will speed up the breakdown of the pigment in the brow. So again this won't be an issue whilst you are snuggled up with your hot cocoa but will be more of a challenge whilst sipping pina coladas on the beach.

The last and rather important consideration of the healing process, and it's a biggy, is the time your brows will take to be fully healed and be swimming pool ready and picture perfect for all those summer parties. You may or may not be aware that microblading is a two part process. You will need to leave at least 6 weeks following your initial treatment before booking in for your follow up. The follow up appointment is a vital part of the process, whereby your microblading artist can correct any areas that have not retained pigment very well or tweak the shape and pigment colour to ensure your brows are perfect. So in total that's a good 10 week healing process.

So if you've been considering having your eyebrows microbladed,or thinking of booking in for your colour boost, remember anytime of year is perfectly suitable. Although microblading in winter makes the healing process easier, meaning you're more likely to get the perfect results that you want.
